Essential Functions

  • Directly responsible for all sales within the assigned territory, including but not limited to, assigned regional and local chains.
  • Collect money from customers and record transactions on customer receipts.
  • Write customer orders and sales contracts according to company guidelines.
  • Inform regular customers of new products or services and price changes.
  • Listen to and resolve customers’ comments regarding products or services.
  • Call on prospective customers to explain company services and develop market within assigned territory.
  • Issue sales promotion materials to customers, i.e.: technology, food service, and marketing programs.
  • Achieves sales profit standards.
  • Customer merchandising and program implementation


  • Must have the verbal, quantitative, and interpersonal skills normally acquired through the completion of the completion of some sales-related post-secondary education.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have a participative management style and be an advocate of team concept.
  • Must have well developed interpersonal skills and have the ability to promote harmonious relationships with staff, peers and supervisors.
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office, Internet & Cellular/Wireless devices.)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work fluctuate, but should average 40 per week, and days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours listed are general hours and may be altered as needed. Additional hours may be required to fulfill job duties and position expectations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have a minimum of three years direct sales experience.
