The Role:

The Salesforce Operations Manager is a critical role within the ISS team that interacts with ISS managers and business stakeholders across the company to ensure that business needs and expectations related to continuous improvements and platform operations and support are being met. This is an influential role that provides strategic consulting guidance and advice across business units and plays a key role in the execution and delivery of projects and enhancements aligned with the technology roadmap. This position requires the candidate to work across and influence all levels of an organization. Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Salesforce platform and serves as the single point of contact for platform operations and support
  • Manages a team of business systems analysts and administrators supporting the Salesforce platform, including hiring, setting priorities, establishing goals and objectives, evaluating performance, allocating workloads, and setting deadlines
  • Fosters and builds relationships between the ISS team and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency into ongoing team activities
  • Participates in planning sessions with business partners to improve business capabilities and develop and communicate short-term and long-term technology roadmaps
  • Works with business unit managers to identify and translate business needs into actionable project proposals
  • Works closely with the Sr. Manager, Customer Experience to create and manage the technology roadmap, with focus on leveraging and maximizing our investments
  • Plans and manages timelines, resource planning, budgets and interdependencies
  • Builds high performing teams that they can lead, inspire, motivate, coach and mentor to deliver high quality solutions that deliver business value
  • Brings knowledge of industry best practices and applies that information in discussing solutions that may address business needs
  • Responsible for Salesforce platform licensing and compliance, including installed managed packages
  • Responsible for delivery and change management related to Salesforce major upgrades, including CPQ, Advanced Approvals, Billing, and all other managed package upgrades, to ensure that the platform is always running the supported versions
  • Responsible to maintain an Excellent security health check score, and manages intake and solution delivery of security initiatives related to the Salesforce platform, including API management of integrated systems
  • Primary contact for the audit team and is responsible for SOX control definition, compliance, and quarterly audits
  • Performs the role of Product Owner for the Salesforce enhancement and production support release cycle, including prioritization across business units, assessment of business value, planning, resourcing, and backlog grooming

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of broad IT industry experience
  • The individual must be a self-driven, motivated IT leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and leadership presence
  • Identifies, analyses, manages and monitors relationships with and between business stakeholders
  • Outstanding verbal, written, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent change management skills with experience of leading teams through organization change and transformation
  • Well organized, results oriented leader with strong ability to communicate and work effectively with technical and non-technical users
  • Must have the ability to confidently communicate and deliver business information to senior leaders
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively exert influence across teams without direct authority
  • Experienced managing teams within a matrix organization structure
  • Must be able to visualize, analyze, communicate and solve complex problems, and make disciplined decisions based on available information
  • Takes ownership of problems and proactively resolves technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements and aligns with the vision, mission, objectives, strategy of the team
  • Strong understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle processes
  • Demonstrable experience in project management and delivering complex solutions on time and on budget
  • PMP, Scrum master, Agile certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, Master’s degree in business or Finance preferred
