Taurus Global Logistics is a startup transportation and logistics company with the backing of over 35 years of experience in this rapidly growing industry. With having both a transportation and logistics division, we are able us to solve any shipping needs our customers come to us with. Taurus is seeking motivated, experienced sales people to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for those with excellent organization, communication and sales skills looking to get in on the ground floor of a fast growing company. Focusing on sales, you will be responsible for both prospecting new sales to drive growth while maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers. As you develop your career, you will have an uncapped earning potential with endless opportunity to advance within the company. At this time we unfortunately do not have a training program in place so it is essential that you have previous knowledge and experience in either the trucking brokerage or freight transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain and grow strong relationships with customers and carriers
  • Schedule, manage and monitor daily shipments, process updates and ensure their pick-up and delivery
  • Plan and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules for drivers
  • Provide creative solutions to address clients needs/issues
  • Consistently identify new sources of business
  • Remain up-to-date on pricing trends for a variety of transportation modes throughout the US & Canada
  • Be honest and proactive in your communication to customers and carriers

Requirements

  • Confident and strong understanding of industry terminology, methods and procedures
  • Strong presentation skills over the phone, through written communication, and in person
  • Able to handle high volumes of communication
  • Able to cold call with an assertive, positive and persistent style
  • Highly organized and communicative — must be able to interact effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Strong time management skills
  • High degree of initiative and independent execution. You are able to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment that requires problem solving and decision making
  • 1+ years of experience at a freight brokerage or 3PL

Compensation

  • uncapped earning potential at 25% commision of net

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
