Filamento (www.Filamento.com) is an award-winning LED startup based in Silicon Valley California. We are seeking a Sales Engineer to support our external sales representatives and external sales people. Candidate must be highly motivated, meticulous follow through, superior sales ability, as well as superior interpersonal and management skills. The Sales Engineer will own additional responsibilities outside of pure sales engineering including marketing and sales duties such as prospecting for customers, managing tradeshow, etc. This position will require travel based on customer needs, and sometimes globally. The individual will work closely with the sales team to support customers on a technical level, run customer presentations, customer trials, customer integration/ architecture and help in the development of new accounts.
- Undergraduate degree, ideally in Computer Science, physics or Electrical Engineering;
- 2+ years experience in technology/presales/technical strategy consulting roles in the integration space
The candidate must have solid experience in the following disciplines:
- Ability to articulate technical concepts and solutions to various audiences.
- Be the first point of contact for technical issues including technical specification, lighting layouts, how to use the product, customer training.
- Creating SOP for customization of warehouse personnel to assemble test products.
- Help manage and maintain the CRM.
- Create Tradeshow setups, manage tradeshows.
- Domain knowledge in lighting, lighting controls a major plus.
