Job Summary: THe RRT provides routine and complex respiratory therapy treatment to patients and performs a
variety of routine pulmonary function tests according to established procedures in order to provide data used in diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease/ailments. In doing so, interprets physicians’ order, obtains pertinent patient information, arranges and sets up necessary supplies and equipment, and monitors equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient charts. Assists in monitoring department procedures, recommends enhancements, and assists in developing procedures as requested.
Hours: Registry; Various hours and shifts as needed
- Graduate from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) within six months of hire.
- Illinois RCP license within six months of hire.
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association (BLS Provider or BLS Instructor)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 24 months of employment
