Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for planning, recommending and implementing domestic and international strategic sales, marketing and agency related goals, measurements and directives for his/her region.

This position is responsible to identify, analyze and recommend new and existing business opportunities, and promote the growth of key accounts and all agents. The candidate for this position manages multiple assignments simultaneously, has a knowledge and work experience of LTL, TL transportation, air transportation, international cargo, expedited services, logistics products, services and technologies. The candidate understands the resources required to ensure that the region’s goals and objectives are met. The candidate must be able to impart operational knowledge on the various sales agencies and sales knowledge for both the sales agents and corporate representatives. The person in this position must identify and resolve internal and external issues and maintain positive employee, customer and sales agent relations. This position will also have various other duties to help maintain the DLSW platform.

Develop and expand a network of company owned and/or sales agent stations for freight transportation within assigned region. Planning, recommending and implementing domestic and international strategic sales, marketing and agency related goals, measurements and directives for his/her region. This position is responsible to identify, analyze and recommend new and existing business opportunities, and promote the growth of key accounts and all agents. Develop and expand a nationwide network of independent commission sales representatives. Responsible for the growth of key accounts including the definition, communications and implementation of efficient and cost effective operational and customer services. Manages multiple assignments simultaneously applying a thorough knowledge of air transportation, international cargo, expedited services, logistics products, services and technologies. Understands and effectively utilizes the resources required to ensure that the established objectives are met. Provide directions and instructions to sales and work group as needed for success. Provide oral and written presentations to senior leadership and external customers

Required Skills

Candidate should minimally have a college degree and at least a combined 7 years experience in both sales and operations in either domestic and/or international logistics. Experience with TSA, IATA and FMC would be beneficial. Other key attributes would be the ability to convey pricing strategies to Agents as well as Corporate Reps as well as direct interaction with Core Providers to attain necessary Service and Price Packages.

Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and must be able to effectively present and respond to questions from managers, agents, clients and co-workers. We employ a consultative approach and is a Client advocate; candidate must already embrace these ideals and strategy

Candidate must be confident in his/her ability to develop and expand a regional network with sales agent stations.
