The Laboratory Phlebotomist is responsible for the collections and processing of blood specimens, providing assessment and care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric in-patients, emergency room patients, and patients from other hospital services as needed. He/she will assist as necessary with outpatient specimen collection and processing. He/she is proficient in required competencies.
- High school diploma or GED
- Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician license
- Healthcare Provider level BLS certification.
- Associate degree or higher
- Two years hospital laboratory experience
