The field sales professional will aggressively expand the company’s business and achieve goals within assigned territory through their knowledge of Galt Pharmaceutical products. Adherence to federal and state laws and regulations as well as company policies governing the promotion of pharmaceutical products is a critical requirement in this position. The development of strong customer relationships through product knowledge (including clinical characteristics, scientific content and clinical evidence), assistance programs (i.e. Co-Pay and Trial Cards) and other Galt Pharmaceutical initiatives intended to develop and retain customers is a key success measure. Demonstrated ability to actively listen to customers to fully understand both clinical matters and patient needs and respond with appropriate knowledge and sense of urgency is what separates the average from the best. Collaborate with other business functions: supply chain, marketing, operations and sales to develop solutions to address frequent barriers or capitalize on effective methods or messaging is also critical to growth and success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote Galt Pharmaceuticals through a demonstrated understanding of Galt’s Vision and Principles
  • Perform company business in accordance with all regulations, labelling guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards at all times
  • Educate and engage healthcare professionals through a command of clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients
  • Meet or exceed targets and goals within territory through market planning to target key HCP’s, efficient routing and execution of market strategy
  • Maximize customer engagement through pre-call preparation and post-call planning
  • Document field activities through CRM and other tools as required for compliance
  • Develop strong long-term relationships with customers through a partnership selling style that includes an ability to use all available promotional literature and sales tools
  • Share common barriers or effective messaging with other business functions (marketing, supply chain, operations, sales) to develop solutions and best practices across the organization
  • Actively pursue continuous learning and professional development on efficient sales, communication and product knowledge training.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned

Professional Skills:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, selling, presentation and solutioning skills; sound judgement and decision making
  • Strong oral communication skills and verbal command of complex medical and pharmaceutical terminology
  • Proficiency in the use of mobile devices, intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, and Excel); proficiency with CRM documentation
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively without supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • 2-3 years Outside pharmaceutical, DME or healthcare sales experience required
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Business related area is preferred
  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Valid Drivers License and safe driving record
  • Must Pass Background Check
