The Manager of Financial Reporting & Accounting is responsible for the management of the accounting team and related functions of the company in accordance with US GAAP and the payroll team. This position prepares monthly financial statements along with supporting schedules and reconciliations. This position manages fixed assets, A/R, A/P General Ledger, and is responsible for monthly close process, preparation of GL entries and accruals, and bank reporting.

  • Prepare monthly Financial Statement, both internal and external
  • Prepare monthly bank reporting
  • Oversee preparation of operation reports and analysis
  • Assist with budget process and annual upload
  • Financial Statement Analysis
  • Maintain the chart of accounts, GL infrastructure and reporting
  • Oversee maintenance of Job Master files
  • Review AR and AP functions.
  • Ensure Positive Pay for operating account is uploaded weekly to the bank
  • Process monthly interest payments to founders and bank
  • Oversee verification for A/P checks
  • Maintain documented accounting procedures and oversee documentation of new procedures as needed
  • Oversee distribution of 1099’s by February 28th each year
  • Oversee Payroll tax reporting and payments
  • Oversee Sales tax reporting and payments
  • Facilitate all requests for certificates of insurance
  • Oversee vehicle title process and retention for new and removed company vehicles
  • Provide insurance broker with required items for annual renewal of work comp, GL, auto, property, crime, pollution, and EPL
  • Manage with financial, tax, workers compensation, and general liability audits
  • Manage Accounting Department personnel for AR & AP on a daily basis and continuously evaluate methods to improve department’s efficiencies
  • Processes monthly GL entries and monthly accruals
  • Submits requests for certificates of insurance from insurance agent
  • Oversees documentation process of procedures in AOR
  • Backup for Maintains and updates Fixed Asset reporting
  • Manages Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with other accounting duties as need and requested
  • Review direct deposit
  • Monitors staff’s performance objectives and performs coaching and counseling as needed throughout the year
  • Train accounting personnel
  • Manage collections to ensure accounts stay under 90 days

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related major. CPA license.

  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Outlook, WinTEam or equivalent accounting software, database extraction and report writing.
