The position requires a leader who will provide reporting, training, and guidance while helping to develop accountants on the team as well as having the opportunity to provide financial and accounting acumen. This role will involve financial stewardship of the Crown Bolt books, production of accurate periodic financial reporting, management of revenue, collection, and costing. As well, it will involve inventory management, payment systems, and regulatory / other reporting for the business.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
25%- Financial Reporting: Monthly, Quarterly, and annual reporting of Crown Bolt financial results to Home Depot
50%- Systems Management: Ensure accounting systems maintain integrity and are in balance. Cash Management: ensure AP efficiency, ($0 lost discounts, effective disbursement procedures), and AR collections
15%- Controls/Audit; Ensure compliance with stated corporate controls. Oversee audit program for freight charges
10%- Accounting: Ensure all accounting records are in order. Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and properly reported in accordance with with GAAP and Home Depot policies
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to the CB Sr Director of Finance & Accounting.
This position has between 2-6 direct reports.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 4 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Experience in Financial Conversion systems including Data Migration and Application Integration.
Candidate must be a proactive self-starter with solid time management skills.
Must have the ability to handle changing priorities, multi-task outside areas of primary responsibility, establish good business relationships, work directly with management, and have demonstrated leadership ability to manage departmental projects and/or initiatives.
Expected to handle confidential Company financial and operational information in a reasonable manner.
