The Seller team includes both product business teams, as well as go-to-market and operational functional teams.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager who will work as a member of Squares Finance & Strategy team, leading efforts to support teams in our Seller organization across both product and operational functions. This leader will play an integral part in Squares success by working directly with Squares business leaders, driving financial planning and business forecasting, and developing strategic analysis around key business initiatives. This position will be based in our San Francisco office, and will report to Finance & Strategy Lead for the Square Seller Business.

eCommerce / Weebly

We are looking for a leader to be part of the team that supports eCommerce business. eCommerce business includes Square Online Store and Weebly. Weebly was acquired by Square in May 2018. We integrated Weebly technology with Square to create a feature-rich, self-serve website builder that helps sellers create a custom online store. The product offers a complete platform that allows anyone to start and grow an online business with curated website templates and powerful e-commerce capabilities.

Customer Success

Squares Customer Success team aims to build a world-class customer success across multiple support channels that’s always available, but rarely needed. They solve scaling customer challenges across Square’s products, for all types of customers, while driving satisfaction and creating amazing experiences.


You Will:

  • Act as the Finance Business Partner (FBP) with business organizations and collaborate across all levels and business functions in the organization

  • Evaluate business performance; report and analyze the performance; identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data

  • Be your teams go-to partner for business analysis and strategic decisions (e.g pricing & packaging, market sizing, operational efficiency, benchmarking, cost to serve/contact, other data-driven analyses), actively mining data from our databases predict short-term and long-term trends

  • Regularly partner with business functions (e.g. Accounting, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Operations) to analyze and report on the financial impact of decisions across the company

  • Lead the financial planning process for key product and business teams; including building/maintaining operating and financial models, managing investment budgets for teams to ensure they have resource allocations to invest properly behind key initiatives

Qualifications

You have:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field

  • 8 to 12 years of relevant industry experience

  • Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (you should be prepared for a case study)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Consistent track record of success and career progression

  • Exceptional judgement and maturity, including an ability to execute independently and work with team members of all levels

  • Experience leading, developing, and growing a team

  • Familiarity with financial planning processes and business systems such as Hyperion


Even better:

  • Experience with consumer or B2B technology product or payments industry a plus

  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau)
