Job Summary

FINANCE MANAGER – FP&A


LOCATION: SANDY SPRINGS, GA (ATLANTA)

Primary responsibilities of the FP&A Finance Manager will include oversight of the preparation of the Divisional Monthly Operations Review data, financial scorecards, and capital forecasting. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for preparing key monthly financial reports along with general support for the MHC Leadership team.


Job Responsibilities:

Manages the preparation of Morrison’s Divisional Operations Review including but not limited to: accurate and timely summary of key financial results, coordination across multiple Divisions, and continuous process improvement/automation of the Division packages. Analyze financial performance against key metrics and highlight findings to management that help determine progress against budgets and potential solutions to mitigate risk.

Consolidate, review and distribute monthly scorecards identifying Regional Director, Regional Vice President, and Division President’s performance vs. key financial metrics. Ensure accuracy of monthly submissions and determine monthly drivers that impact the Business leaders’ performance.

Partner with the business and develop a monthly capital forecast that is communicated to the Morrison CFO and Compass team. Ability to analyze trends and look for opportunities and risks to the business.

Support the Morrison Division Finance team and CFO with ad hoc analysis, key financial trends, strategic financial alternatives to help mitigate risks, new business/at risk account analysis and forecasting, and other initiatives.

Validate dashboard data and ensure accuracy of data in comparison to general ledger.

Support month end closing process and perform variance analysis of key drivers of results as needed.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.

Perform ad hoc analysis as needed. Understand and follow company rules and regulations.

Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred

MBA or CPA beneficial but not required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Finance Manager role.

Prior experience managing analysts preferred.

Experience in income statement analysis.

Work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.

Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.

Experience with SAP, Essbase and dashboard development preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
