Superior Door Systems is in need for a full time Accounting Manager / Office Manager. The perfect candidate is someone who has experience managing all aspects of a small construction business and the required qualifications noted below.
Description of Responsibilities:
Handle all accounting and tax matters, including AP, AR, fixed assets, WIP schedule (percentage of completion), payroll (in house), loans, payroll tax/forms, property tax, franchise/income tax, sales tax (3 states – CA, AZ, NV), business city licenses; responsible for cash flow; close books and prepare GAAP financial reports monthly and yearly.
Assure corporate income tax compliance, taking full advantage of favorable tax codes.
Manage relationships: CPA, Banking, Bonding, and Insurance (GL, Auto, WC, Health).
Manage all HR matters including new hires, terminations, and workers’ comp claims.
Review contracts for finance terms/conditions, request preliminary notices, process change orders, order certificates of insurance, manage Wrap Insurance policies, ensure compliance of all prevailing wage requirements (State DIR, Federal DOL, Local PLA/PSA).
Submit all monthly billings accurately and timely, including the use of General Contractor mandated forms and programs such as Textura; follow up on collections; issue unconditional releases upon receipt of payment.
Manage all state contractor licenses (CA, AZ, NV), OSHA 300/300A logs, certifications/recertifications, and annual prequalifications.
Responsible for subcontractor master agreements, contractor licenses, work orders, and certificates of insurance.
Maintain company procedures and policies to ensure integrity of all systems, processes/data, and enhance company’s value.
Any other tasks as required by management.
Accounting / Business Management degree from accredited 4 year university
At least 5 years of experience in construction industry serving a similar role
Expert at in house payroll and certified payroll requirements (DIR, DOL, and Local PLA/PSA)
Proficient in Quickbooks and Microsoft Suite, including Excel
BOE experience required
HR and Insurance Claims experience preferred
Must pass complete background check and 10 panel drug test
