The Accounting Manager at Burgoon Company manages an accounting staff that maintains the transactional flow, payroll, AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting of the company. This position interfaces with all departments and reports to the President.

Compensation: Commensurate with duties and experience

Description: The Accounting Manager is responsible for all financial transactions, including day to day customer and vendor invoice processing and cash transactions in a high-volume environment. This position maintains the general ledger, including reconciliations and journal entries as well as financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will also ensure payroll is processed via third party payroll service and ensure that all AP and AR accounts are kept in good order, including collections of overdue accounts. This position will also maintain the company’s financial record system, supportable of outside audit.

Experience/Education Requirements: Four-year accounting degree from an accredited university plus 10 years of experience, including 5 years in supervision/management. An MBA degree and/or CPA status is preferable. Accounting training/courses is also preferable.

Skills Requirements: Use of Microsoft Office tools in an O365 environment. Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.

Other Requirements: Detail-oriented and enjoys working in a team environment. Customer friendly and energetic. Encourages and supports others in an office environment. Preference is given to process oriented leadership.
