The Accounting Manager will ensure that the department operates smoothly, maintain accurate and complete records related to contracts on construction projects. These records include: Contracts, AIA Billings, Change Orders, RFI’s, Submittals. This position will manage 3 contract administrators who perform the tasks related to each project. The Accounting manager will be responsible to ensure that projects are setup appropriately in the ERP system and are monitored for compliance to company policies. The Accounting Manager will ensure that all accounts receivable records are maintained, cash receipts in the ERP system are recorded, and follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable. The position will also provide weekly reporting on the status of outstanding accounts receivable. The Accounting Manager will also perform other accounting responsibilities to ensure that the department maintains appropriate internal controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manage accounts receivable processes and functions in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Review and maintain company standards and policies for project administration
  • Manage contract administrators to ensure timely, consistent efficient setup and maintenance of project records in ERP
  • Maintain project listings for billing requirements with deadlines
  • Maintain job cash position reports for Sr. Management
  • Ensure that permits and licensing requirements are met, and renewed each year
  • Process payroll and record monthly journal entries
  • Enter journal entries prepared by accounting management
  • Assist with month end closing and annual audits
  • Work on special projects as requested

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum two years of accounting experience
  • Experience in QuickBase Software and SAGE 100
  • Energetic, self-starter, able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in collections, lien waiver requirements
  • High level of competence with MS Office (Project, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional communicational skills

Position is full-time and contingent upon a successful background check.

Salary: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
