Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing including examining, verifying and reconciling a variety of transactions. Will perform daily matching and posting of purchase orders to vendor invoices in computer software, and pay all necessary monthly bills on time. Additionally, must support company operations by maintaining all office systems and supervising staff members in said department. This duty consists of a deep understanding of all accounts payable, receivable, and office administrative duties.

Job Duties:

  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ID numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Maintains historical records by scanning and filing documents
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends
  • Maintains office staff through appropriate training
  • Maintains office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements:

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 8 A.M. – 5 P.M.
  • Must be willing to put additional hours in if necessary

Pay:

  • $42,000 – $48,000 starting pay

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $42,000.00 to $48,000.00 /year

Experience:

  • Relevant: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License:

  • Driver’s License (Preferred)
